Patients on long term medication can order repeat prescriptions by any of the following methods:
Requests will not be taken over the telephone unless you are housebound.
You may collect your prescription from the practice or we can send it to your home if you supply a stamped addressed envelope with your request. We also currently work with our local pharmacists to offer a free prescription collection service. The receptionists will be able to provide you with further information.
If you are going abroad, a one-off prescription for 2 months repeat medication can be given. For longer periods away we would recommend a consultation with a doctor, but it is likely that you would be eligible for a private prescription only.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
